Turn off Ads in xiaomi phones -simple and easy.

My name is Adil , I hope you all are doing well . So this post is regarding the Ad situation in the Xiaomi or Redmi phones. We have seen many you tubers complaining about the Ads in these phones and make It a deciding factor but its not so. 




In this article I will demonstrate how to turn off each and every Ad from your Xiaomi phones in very easy way.

The MIUI basically does not have any Ads now a day’s , The ads are only in the preinstalled MI apps. So let me demonstrate how you can open each app one by one and turn off the Ads.


So firstly starting with

The MI browser. 

The app with most number of ADS and crap ware in the phone.

  • Tap on the 3 lines on the top and then click on settings. 
  • Turn off content feed
  • Go to advanced
  •  Turn on ad blocker
  • Turn off ad blocker notifications
  •  Turn on block popups
  • Turn off show ads


Next its inbuilt FILE MANAGER

  •  Open the file manager
  • Click on 3 lines on top left and you will get a slide out menu
  •  Open settings
  •  Open about and turn off recommendations.



Next is MI video .

Now if you like the kind of recommendations that you get from this app then you can keep it turned on , but I don’t like it and I am sure most of you wont like 

So to turn of ads in MI video 
  • Open the MI video app.
  • Tap on profile
  • Open its settings
  • Turn off online recommendations
  • Turn off push notifications
  • Turn off personalized recommendations. (if you don’t want to see random crap which the app decides is good for you)


Next is MI MUSIC

  • Open the MI music App
  • Tap on settings icon on your top left
  • Open settings.
  •  Open advanced settings
  •  Turn off receive recommendations
  • Turn off show online recommendations when the app is launched



Now lets check the Security app which shows quite a lot of Ads and pop ups
  • Open the Security app
  • Tap on the top right settings icon.
  •  Scroll down and turn off receive recommendations.
  • Turn off Load using only WiFi


Now lastly Themes app .
  • Open the Themes app
  • Tap on My page
  • Open settings
  • Turn off recommendations

So basically in this way you can turn off each and every ad from your MI phones and in case you are receiving any Ad notifications then just press and hold the notification and you will get the option to turn off notification , and that's you will never ever get that notification from that app again
